The Power of Love

The battlefields of hell expand over the era
Blood stained graves caressing the soiled earth
A hanyou standing amidst the chaotic mess
A pained expression as he sees red upon his hands
His claws engulfed in the spilt blood of men
The remaining carcasses spread out beneath his feet
There he witnesses it all
The pain, sorrow, and guilt of his demon blood
The death resulting in his passion to kill
The murder rising from his deadly desire
Nothing or no one can end this fervent wish
Nothing or no one can cleanse his blood stained soul
And yet, a ray of hope can be found
The bright smile of a teenage girl
The warm feeling of her tender heart
The gentle lullaby her voice brings to his ears
The passionate touch she gives to his wounds
This girl has given him a chance, a place in life
She has expressed to him feelings of love
She has given him what he has always secretly wanted
She can see him for him, and who he is
She doesn't give up on him
She always finds a way
She believes in him, in his spirit, in his heart
Nothing or no one can surpass that
Nothing or no one can compare to her kindness
Nothing or no one can compete with her heart
Her soul and spirit is impassable
Her love and care is insurmountable
Her heart and life is incomparable
This ray of light can steal through his tinted soul
Can reveal his true nature
And dispose of this vile burden
It can teach him to love
And how to end this mindless charade
It can show him that death is meaningless and nothing good comes
This ray of sunshine in his life
The one who has given him a reason and a purpose
A purpose to reside on this planet
Is the one that will guide his soul to freedom
And the one to open his heart
And the one to reveal his love
This human girl, Kagome
Can cleanse his tinged soul of malice
Can rid him of the horrid passion of death
Can open him to the wonders of life
She can display to him the power of love
A power so strong that nothing can over come it
A power so strong and bold, that not a soul can surpass it
Not even the deadly desires of a demon can overcome
The beautiful power displayed by love
This girl can cleanse his spirit and free his soul
She can open his eyes to the strength of love
She can reveal his heart to the feelings of love

A/N:
I've done so many stories; I thought it was time for a poem. I don't why I
thought about this, but for some reason as I wrote this, Inuyasha as a full
demon was crowing my head; so I used that as a basis in this poem, and how
Kagome can reach within him and cleanse his soul, and return him to his
