The suns silver rays cut through the curtains of the bedroom aligning with Jarred's left cheekbone. Slowly he winced, squinting his already closed eyes together, and slowly opening them to the drawn shades before the curtains. He sat up in his bed and rubbed the rest of the sleep from his eyes feeling the tingling sensation running down his right foot which hung limply at the edge of his bed.

"Still asleep and stubborn...", he groaned as he removed the sheets that covered him and placed both of his feet firmly on the cold wooden floor of his room. The sun barely illuminated the tiny room, but it was light enough for Jarred to maneuver about the corridors and find his way to the dresser. Lifting his left hand to a lamp, he drew the string that hung and the room was lit instantly by golden light. He pulled his first drawer opened and removed from it a towel, a shirt, a pair of pants, socks, and underwear. He folded everything over his left arm and atop the dresser sat his phone, which he picked up and opened. The display screen read 'NEW VOICE MAIL'. Jarred dialed his in-box and entered his port key number. The voice mailed prompted him to press 1 to listen to his Messages or press 2 to Change his settings. After pressing one, the messaged played. A soft and subtle voice filled his ear. It was light, and suddenly, everything became so nostalgic to him. The voice carried on through his conscience, and drilled deeper into his memories.

"Jarred, I've missed you so much. Why don't you ever call me anymore?" "It's been almost two years since I've seen you." "Its Julia!" "I'd really like to catch up on the old times, we should meet up and have lunch or something." "Call me back at this number when you get a chance, I left the call back number listed." "I look forward to hearing from you!" The voice began to take root in his head. But who could she be he wondered? A voice that was able to captivate him like that. It was so light and her tone was soft and easy on the ears. Even after the message had finished playing, he had still been mesmerized by it. He forgot to remember to listen for her name. He had to play it a second time.

"Julia Masters" he thought to himself. "Wow, its been a long time since me and her talked..." He turned to the doorway of his bathroom and walked through the threshold. He sat on the seat of his toilet and closed his eyes. He sighed heavily and began to ponder. Images and faces began to fill his head. A younger girl with a black satin hat, slightly pulled over her right eye. Her lucious, brown hair was loosely hung over her left shoulder.
