Chat Noir jumped across the buildings through the city. He needed to get out of his house for a while.

Adrien's dad had been really distant lately, Adrien hadn't seen him in person for a while now, as he was so busy with work. His house was really not a place he wanted to be at the moment, it was so cold. So he transformed into Chat Noir and left for a bit. Plagg was okay with it after the promise of some cheese. Plus her knew how Adrien felt about his dad and that house. He knew that the kid only felt really free when he was Chat Noir.

So, at the moment he was hopping across the rooftops of Paris, feeling free. But he stopped when he came to a bakery. The one where Marinette lived.

Now, that place, while he'd only been there a few times, was the warmest place he'd ever been in. Her family was very caring and they all shared a deep, close bond with each other. One that Adrien's family had had in a while. He was envious of Marinette and her family, and he wished he could have or be part of a family as close as they were.

He was pulled out of his thoughts by a moving figure on top of the building. Marinette was walking up from her room to the balcony. She noticed Chat Noir and called out to him.

"Chat Noir?" He hopped over to her, landing on the rail. "What are you doing out so late? Was there an akuma attack?" He shook his head, and could almost swear she let out a sigh of relief.

"Nope. I just needed to get out for a while. What about you, Princess?" He grinned, but it lacked something. Marinette could tell.

"Hey, are you okay Chat? You seem off." Chat's eyes widened. She caught on to him that fast. He was so used to faking things as Adrien, he didn't think it was that easy to tell when he was upset anymore.

"H-How can you tell?"

"Oh, um, you just don't seem like yourself tonight. Something just doesn't seem right. Your grin lacked something... Uh, I mean...You also didn't make any puns out of your nickname for me!" Chat Noir just gave a small, sad smile as he looked to side.

"My house feels colder than it usually is." Marinette's eyes widened, as he suddenly got sad. "My house, it doesn't feel like a home, if you know what I mean."

"There isn't any...warmth to your house?" Marinette asked for conformation. Chat nodded.

"Yeah. That's kinda why I stopped here. Your house...it feels like how a real home should be like. It's nice to be in a place like it. I also get to go out and not have to be anyone special. Well, okay, a superhero, but...I can be who I want. Not who people expect me to be. It's a nice change." Marinette just stared at the poor kitty. He really had it hard.

She took a step towards him and pulled him into her arms. His eyes widened.

"I can't imagine what you feel. But from what I'm hearing, it must be so hard." Chat's arms wrapped, tight around her body. "But, I know that you must have some people that can be your family. Your home can be with them. And if you want," She pulled back, still gripping his shoulders, and gave him a smile.

"You can join my family."

Yeah, some MariChat, which is my favorite of the love square. I know this probably wouldn't happen, but I thought it was a cute idea.

Marinette would totally do this. I'm sure of it.

I don't own any of the characters.

Hope you enjoyed this short oneshot!
