One Piece The Greatest of foes...
Just a random idea that came into my head... Why are you looking at me like that?
--
It was just a normal day aboard the Thousand Sunny, until it appeared. A commotion arose from the lawn deck as the crew was enjoying an outside lunch.
"Oi, what the hell?!" Usopp cried as the terror struck, alerting everyone to his attention.
"It can't be!" Nami said, gasping as she and the others realized what the problem was. Luffy and the others took one glance, and went into action.
"GUM GUM, PISTOL!" Luffy cried, launching his signature attack on the sudden foe.
But it left nary a scratch.
"Huh? But I thought that would work." Luffy cocked his head to the side, confused. Surely one of his weaker moves would have sufficed.
"Now it's my turn..." Zoro said, stepping in front of Luffy. Placing his bandana over his head and unsheathing his swords, the Demon swordsman lowered into a stance.
"GHAH!" The muffled battlecry sounded, and a whirlwind of blades danced across the deck. The three sword converged on their designated target.
Once again, the foe stood unphased and undamaged.
"That's impossible!" Zoro gawked, unable to believe what he was seeing. He looked at his swords, their sharp and fine edges gleaming in the sunlight. But to see his attack have no affect left the swordsman wallowing in shame.
"Step aside, Marimo. I'll handle this!" The blonde haired chief nonchalantly walked forward, a cigarette dangling from his lips which were split with a coy grin. Standing before the obstinate obstacle, Sanji raised his left leg up high. A moment passed, then the leg dropped down swiftly.
As before, nothing happened.
"No! This cannot be!" Sanji said as he stumbled back defeated, his curly brow twitching with frustration. Chopper, who had been cowering fearfully since the start of all this, made himself known.
"I'll save us!" He said, ingested a Rumble ball. The tiny reindeer morphed into his strong point form, then into arm point. Two large hairy fist came together and slammed into the invincible foe.
As usual, the attack was futile.
"Let me try, little Brother!" Franky said, downing three colas as gently brushed aside the now dumbfounded doctor. The blue haired cyborg then popped loose both fists and fired twin explosive shots.
When the smoke cleared, their foe stood, looking triumphant in it's still pristine state.
"Tornado Tempo!" Nami said, knowing that nothing could defy the wrath of nature itself. A dark cloud hung over her target as the myriad bubbles slowly converged. A blast of lightning struck down onto the deck, blinding everyone for moment.
But when their sight recovered, they blanched as they realized the attack was in vain.
"Allow me, Miss Navigator." Robin said, arms crossed as she surveyed the diabolical foe her friends had been losing against. Concentrating, four additional arms surrounded the menacing threat.
"And crush..." A firm tone said.
But the hands could not succeed in their task, instead fruitlessly trying to crush their target.
"Shooting star!" Usopp yelled, his slingshot already drawn and ready. The tiny black ball of metal fired and struck the foe.
The tiny bead bounced off harmlessly.
"How can this be? Nothing can possibly be this strong!" Zoro said, unable to believe that neither of his crewmates could put a dent this unstoppable force.
"I'm afraid it is, Mr. Swordsman." Robin said, her usual countenance a little shaken.
Indeed. Despite the power and skill of the Straw Hats, there would always be forces beyond their control or reasoning. And here they faced it, one of the most feared objects in known history. A force renowned for it's unbeatable nature.
A stale muffin.
