Nico di Angelo would never misuse his powers. Obviously. I mean, it really was a mood disorder - he had a doctor's note.

And the fact that Will was his doctor didn't mean anything, of course. Nothing.

That was what he told his friends, anyway.

"Why is he sitting at the Apollo table?" Thalia had asked Kayla one day. She'd shrugged, and told her that he had a doctor's note. Which didn't exactly help Thalia, but it was the truth. Kind of.

"Mr di Angelo, you have to-"

Zombies sprouted from cracks in the floor, and Will patted Nico's shoulder sympathetically.

"It's his mood disorder," he'd said with a wink. "Change upsets him."

As if to illustrate Will's point, a zombie wriggled out from under the table.

Nico gave Chiron a winning smile, and the centaur gave up.

"Nico, get out of our-"

"Doctor's note," he said, holding up a piece of paper. "My mood disorder means I can't sit in my cabin alone for longer than an hour."

Will appeared behind Nico, and nodded.

"He has a note, guys."

Amelie Rivers, the girl who had yelled at Nico, huffed, and headed outside. Kayla threw a pillow at Will.

"You better not be making out all the time," she threatened.

Will smiled angelically.

"Oh of course," he said. "He has a medical reason."

Percy glanced over to where Nico was throwing peas at Wil on the Apollo table.

"A medical note," he repeated to Thalia. She nodded, and speared a green bean with her fork.

"That's what he told me."

"Because Nico would never misuse his powers to get what he wants."

"...oh."
