Title: Take Your Pick
Characters: Romano, Spain
Challenge: Prompt: Cooperation
Bonus Words: peace, stubborn, willing, friend
Rating: T for Romano
Summary: There's a tomato season? Well, Spain is known for them, and Romano always eats them, so it would make sense that they have them ready and ripe, right?
A/N: I prefer not to do my chores, either, but, unfortunately, I can't get out of it. My mom is not as lenient as Spain.

"Come on, Romano! We have to finish by today, or else we'll fall behind!" Spain said as he noticed Romano laying on the soft earth with one arm behind his back. He knew his charge was a little, lazy bum, but he had to cooperate just this once. For tomatoes' sakes.
"I told you I wasn't going to take orders from you, you damn bastard," Romano answered with a weird sound to his voice.
Spain wondered why this was happening until he turned to inspect Romano once again. The Italian child was eating a tomato and talking with his mouth full, demonstrating his stubbornness to his master by being as defiant as he could. He wanted to show the older nation he would not be owned by a country, at least, as fucked up as Spain.
"Romano!" he exclaimed with a wide mouth and large eyes as he walked over to the boy. "Stop eating the tomatoes. We won't have any left if you keep eating."
He felt a soft, red, circular object hit his face before hearing Romano's laughter. The somewhat peaceful atmosphere was about to be broken. Romano was not willing to take orders, not now, nor ever.
"I told you, you bastard, I won't do it." Then, he threw another tomato at the Spanish man.
He was getting a little irritated. So he wondered if throwing a tomato at Romano would bring down his silly attitude or piss him off like the little kid he was. His little hermanito would get it now.
Romano's face was more colorful than a tomato, not because Spain threw one at him, but because he proved Spain's theory right. He smiled devilishly. But he should know even Spain could not be as friendly if he was also a little pissy.
By the time their fight finished, the tomatoes were picked, but it was a shame they all went to waste for they were all thrown at the Battle of Tomates.
A/N: I didnt' really bother to check if there really is a tomato season in Spain, but I assume there should be one because he and Romano like them so much. Anyways, R/R, plz! Support is love!
