People were screaming and running.

Lexi kept hearing 'pop', 'pop', 'pop' noise, like fireworks but it wasn't that.

Someone knocked into her shoulder causing her to reel backwards.

More popping noises and then blinding, white hot pain in her chest and abdomen. She was on the ground now, no idea how she got there. People running past her, casting frantic, panicked, pitying glances at her. She tried to call out, ask what was happening but she couldn't seem to breathe. Her chest felt heavy and like liquid.

She looked up at the sky, the beautiful blue sky, with puffy clouds.

So pretty.

Her vision started darkening on the sides. Lexi was sad to see the blue sky and puffy clouds go but she felt very tired and thought it maybe was best just to close her eyes and sleep for a little while.

Just for a little bit…
