Hi =) This is my first fic to put here on FF. I know it's really short but I think it's good^^ Enjoy!
As soon as he heard that voice, he knew he was dreaming.
"Hello, Light-kun." It was L. But it was strange, usually when he realized he was dreaming he would wake up.
Light turned around to look at L and realized they were in the old Kira Investigation Headquarters. L was sitting in the chair that he always used to sit in, in his customary sitting position. He looked exactly the way Light remembered, not one bit older, not different in any way.
Light didn't really know what to say. Even though it was just a dream this was the first time he had seen him since his death, so he just waited for L to speak again.
"What is Light-kun doing?" L finally asked.
"What do you mean L?" He said, smirking.
"Do you really think you will be able to reign as Kira?" L asked curiously. "That you wont ever be caught?"
Light chuckled darkly. "Your dead L. I think that speaks for itself."
L's thumb was at his lips then as he looked at Light with black bottomless eyes. "Yes, I am dead," L said, "But I am not gone." L paused for a moment seeming to think. "You will lose Yagami Light. Tomorrow you will lose and die."
Anger sparked inside Light. He was the one who killed L. Who was L to think he could speak to him like that. "Your dead L!" He said with barely suppressed anger. "What would you know!"
L smiled a very small, sad smile. "I've been watching, and your plan won't work."
"My plan is just fine, perfect!" Light said his voice raising slightly. "Tomorrow I will meet with Near and he will die! And you can't do anything about it L!" He spit the name like it was poison, his eyes glaring a vibrant red at L.
L shook his head sadly. "If you carry out with your plan you will die Light-kun."
"If this is true L, then why are you telling me this? Don't you want me dead? Don't you want to watch me die as I did you?" Light truly didn't understand why L would tell him something like this-dream or not.
"I don't want you to die Light-kun." L said to Light's immense surprise. "All I want is for you to stop being Kira." L stepped out of his chair and was slowly padding towards Light. "If you give up ownership of the Death Note you will live."
L was now standing right in-front of Light, staring at him with dark, unyielding eyes. "I won't give up ownership of the Death Note and I won't die!" Light hissed lowly.
Not taking his eyes off him, L reached up and softly touched Lights cheek. "Light-kun will die." And before Light had time to react or do anything, L was gone.
"I won't die." Light muttered before he woke up.

But as Light felt the pain of a heart attack rip through his chest and saw L look down at him sadly he wished that-for once-he had listened to L, and with his last bit of draining strength he locked eyes with L and whispered three words, "Thank you, L..."
And as the last bit of life drained from Light's eyes L whispered back, "Your welcome Light-kun." His eyes were filled with great pain and sadness as he watched his only friend, his only enemy, his only everything, die on the stairs of an old warehouse.
