Chapter 1

Katherine's POV:
I followed my dad into the airport. We were coming to pick up my younger sister Bella, who had made the sudden decision to move to the rainy town of Forks. She was 17, two years younger than me.
When Renee left my father she took Bella with her, leaving me. I didn't mind as I had always been a Daddy's girl and still was but that had been the start of the strain on my relationship with Bella. My mother's decision had only been the start. Growing up, Bella began to believe without the sun life was impossible and as a result she refused to see us while we were in rainy Forks. The arguments mainly fuelled from there.
I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't even hear Bella stumble towards us. "Hi Ch - Dad!" She did not just almost call him Charlie. I was immediately fuming and Dad noticed from where he was awkwardly hugging Bella.
"Calm down," he mouthed to me from behind her back.
As we pulled up to the house, I stepped out of the car quickly and dashed towards the front door, quickly unlocking it. Just five minutes into the car ride had I realised I had forgotten my phone. I was supposed to text Sam once I was on my way back.
I saw it there and sighed in relief. I sprinted towards it flopping onto the sofa as I grabbed it.
5 missed calls
I quickly looked through my contacts until I got to Sam's name.
Sorry baby. Forgot my phone. Love you and will be home soon. XXX - Katherine
I faintly heard Bella question Daddy on why I seemed to be in a rush but ignored her. The answer could be summed up into one little word.
Sam.
