Piko's POV

Snow fell gently around us as we strolled in the park together.

It was a beautiful winter day. The snow was light and floated gracefully down to earth, kissing the ground gently and merging with the other snowflakes.

I looked over at him. His blonde hair was hidden by a knitted hat. He wore a velvety scarf around his neck, barely covering his lips. I could still see the warm stream coming from where his mouth was. His eyes were fixed on the ground, as if unable to meet the world in front of him.

We stopped for hot cocoa, cradling the cardboard cups gently in our hands.

I tried to remember exactly what brought me here. That's right; Len had convinced me to take a walk in the park and get some hot chocolate.

He still stared downward, still not looking up.

I sipped my warm drink carefully, casting a worried look upon him. He still didn't meet my eyes.

I was about to speak when I felt something grasp my hand. It was him. He squeezed it gently.

I pulled up my scarf to hide my flushing cheeks.

He set down his beverage next to him as he grasped my hand in both of his. He looked up at me with his icy-blue eyes that had always captivated me.

He smiled warmly, bringing his mouth to my ears.

"I love you."

Len's POV

Snow fell gently around us as we strolled in the park together.

It was a beautiful winter day. The snow was light and floated gracefully down to earth, kissing the ground gently and merging with the other snowflakes.

I looked over at him. His head was crowned with earmuffs. He wore a velvety scarf around his neck, barely reaching his chin. I could see the warm stream coming from where his mouth was. I turned away from him, adjusting my scarf to hide my reddening cheeks.

We stopped for hot cocoa, cradling the cardboard cups gently in our hands.

I tried to remember exactly what brought me here. That's right; I had convinced Piko to take a walk in the park and get some hot chocolate. But I wasn't just longing for the nice winter day and a sip of warm cocoa.

I still stared downward, still not looking up. I could feel Piko's worried stare fixed on me.

I sipped my warm drink quickly, not even stopping to enjoy it.

He was about to speak, but like an idiot, I grasped his hand with mine. I could imagine his face flushing pink.

I set down my beverage next to him as I clamped both of my hands on his. I looked up at him, noticing his multi-coloured eyes filled with surprise.

I smiled warmly, bringing my mouth to his ear.

"I love you."
