Hi! So I know I should be working on my other stories but I just had to write this. So, enjoy!

I do not own the 39 clues.

"IDIOT!"

"NERD!"

"DOLT!"

"GEEK!"

"TOMAS!"

"EKAT!"

"Guys, shut up already!"

"No Reagan! I will not shut up until he gives me back my headband!"

"Madison, Ned, can't you two do anything besides fight?"

"Well Ted, if she would just give me back my physics book, then we wouldn't be having this problem."

"Then give me the headband!"

"I will when you give me the textbook!"

"The headband!"

"The textbook!"

"HEADBAND!"

"TEXTBOOK!"

"SHUT UP!" The two bickering Cahills looked at their sibling.

"You two are driving me insane." Reagan exclaimed, rubbing her temples as if to stop a headache.

"You two really need to learn to not argue so much." Ted stated, clearly exasperated.

They both scoffed and left the living room through opposite doors.

"This is why I hate Cahill reunions." the young Tomas girl said as she leaned into the couch.

"I know right. They need to learn to get along. We all know they like each other, so why do they keep arguing?" Ted said thoughtfully.

"Maybe since Ham and Sinead are dating, and Dan and Natalie, along with Amy and Ian, and us of course, they don't want to end up like everyone else: Dating their enemy from the clue hunt."

"Statistics show that they both would not enjoy being exactly like their siblings, so that is not only possible, but logical."

"We should find a way to get them together."

"I don't like the look in your eye."

"Let me go! Ham, I don't know where you're taking me, but I can tell I'm not gonna like it!"

Hamilton Holt ignored the protests of his sister and continued to drag her to his destination: the walk in closet.

As soon as he got there, he pushed the still flailing girl in, and slammed the door.

"LET ME OUT OF HERE RIGHT NOW!"

"No can do," came his voice through the door, "you two are driving everybody nuts, so learn to get along."

It was then that Madison noticed she was not alone. She turned towards the figure, and, judging by the way he was glaring at her, concluded it was Ned.

"Great," he groaned, "of all people, I'm stuck with you."

"I'm not too happy about it either, Einstein."

"Whatever. Why are we here?"

"People think we fight too much. You sure you're an ekat? 'Cuz you're acting pretty dumb."

"Learned from the best, dolt."

"Why you little-"

"Let's just shut up and try to find out why we fight so much so they let us out of here."

"Fine! That's easy. I'm a Tomas, you're an Ekat."

"But consider our siblings. They all get along just fine."

"Then we're the normal ones."

"You're making this impossible."

"You're making this more complicated than it needs to be!"

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

And as they continued to argue, one word popped into their heads at the same moment, causing them to stop: Why?

"Hey, Ned."

"Yeah?"

"How about a truce?"

"...A what?"

"A truce, like...we try to stop arguing. Or at least argue less..."

"Sure," and he held out his hand. Madison hesitated before taking it shaking his hand.

They both tried to ignore the tingle that shot through them when their hands touched.

They knew there was little chance they would ever truly get along.

Hey! Nedison is, and always will be, my favorite couple. There are tons of Danatalie, Amian, and Hamead stories. Plus quite a few Teagan, so I thought it was time someone did a story dedicated to Nedison. I know there isn't much romance, but I did my best. No flames please! ~Kate
