He watched her.

She shone, sparkled in the dark light. She was everything they wanted to be. She was alive, she was life itself. She was free.

And never before had he really saw her.

He saw who she really was, and that was the most beautiful thing of all. What she was like, what she was. He'd never wanted anything so bad. He'd never wanted something he couldn't have. But now he could have her. Now he could see. He longed to have her, to entwine his fingers in her hair, to hold her, to feel her skin. To make her belong to him.

And now, that girl was there. With him. He treasured it. He just drank in her smell, just felt her in his arms.

He'd never felt anything so perfect.
