Author's Note: Well, what can I say, after stopping writing for many months I'm back with another one-shot. The idea pop up when I was talking to Hina-chan, a friend from MSN. She inspired me to write this one-shot and even let me use her as one of the main characters. Insert Evil Laugh Here Two original characters with conflicting interests, on to the story!
So sorry little birdie…
Dusk settled as the last ray of light began to bleed away, the crimson hues slowly faded away. With night came the chilly breeze that flows through the town of Karakura. Neon lights blared as the nightlife of the town began to show its presence. Amidst all the people bustling, there was one creature that stood still and unknown to those around him. Blank eyes stared at the unknown, and with baited breath the dark figure withdrew a blade from his back. His eyes hardened and focused as he blocked the blade of a katana that seemingly slashed at him from thin air.
"What has come over you that you so easily confront me in a place that could leave countless of casualty?" asked the figure, his tone calm.
"What has come over me? What has come over you that you killed an innocent little girl!" shouted the attacker; the voice pitched a bit high signifying that the owner was a female.
The figure sighed and calmly withdrew a second blade from his back and without hesitance he rushed towards the rooftop, scaling the outer wall of the building like it was an everyday thing. Once he was topside, he waited for the female to follow him only to have a blade hurtling towards him from the sky and with it, its owner.
Dodging to the left, the figure thumbed the slight cut on his cheek. "Why do you insist on killing me? I did nothing wrong," she heard him trying to explain.
"You took an innocent life, I can never forgive you for that!" shouted the female back her reply. She rushed towards him, blade out and menacing, ready to spear through his chest, yet he did nothing but stand there. She was confused by this.
"Kill me if you want, I don't care anymore," he said, as if answering her confusion. Her eyes widen, her blades were centimeters from his chest. There was nothing she could do to stop, even if she wanted to. She closed her eyes. She couldn't believe what she had done. Opening her eyes, she stared at him, lying on the rooftop, her sword through his chest.
"I'm sorry…" he heard her mumble. "I didn't mean to… I really didn't," he heard her say as she kneeled beside him. Reaching out, she laid his head on her lap, caressing his face. Tears began to fall from her cheeks to his.
"It's okay…" said the man as he wiped her tears away. "Please don't cry, it makes me sad to watch you cry," he continued. Coughing up blood, the man caressed the face of his attacker. "Hina, please don't cry… You're my little bird."
"Kyo!"
The End
