"Satsuki! Satsuki wake up come on!"
I slowly open my eyes and see Ryuko standing by my bed.
Ryuko?
"We have to get to school come on!"
She pulls on my arm and eventually gets me off bed.
"Gah Ryuko did you have to let me fall?"
I stand and hurry to my closet and get out my school uniform.
"Hurry dad is going to drive us today, I'll wait in the kitchen."
Dad?
I brush my hair quickly and head out my bedroom.
"Ah good morning Satsuki!"
My father kisses me on the forehead and heads toward the door.
"Come on get in the car you're going to be late, girls!"
He walks out the door. Where's my mother? I guess I should be glad she isn't here.
"I bet I can beat you to the car!" Ryuko says to me. This all seems so normal. Wait, how young are we? Are we in middle school?
"Ready, set, go!" She sprints off without warning.
"Oh you're such a cheater Ryuko, I wasn't ready!"
I run after my sister.
My sister.
We pull up to our school and get out the car.
"I'll see you girls later! I'm going to buy groceries. Have fun!"
My father drives off and Ryuko grabs my hand.
"Will you walk me to class today? I don't want Nui to say mean things to me again."
Nui? Wait, is someone bullying my sister?
I nod my head and follow her to her class.
"Oh looky looky, little Ryuko brought her big sister to protect her. Pathetic."
Nui was with a group of girls I didn't know. She had both her eyes but still had the same sarcastic look on her face.
"Leave my sister alone Nui! She's done nothing to you!"
Nui scoffed.
"Oh well. come on girls well have to come back another day. Bye bye Ryuko-chan."
She winked at Ryuko and walked off.
"Why do you let her be mean to you? You know you can take her."
She looked down and mumbled out: "I don't want to get a bad reputation. What if people start to fear me?"
"Ryuko as long as I love you it won't matter. Plus you still have that other girl what's her name? Uhhh Marco?"
"Mako" she rolled her eyes and giggled.
"Right whatever, I'll see you at lunch. Get to class."
"Okay bye Satsuki!"
I waved and walked to my classroom I for some reason knew the exact location of.
I sat down at my desk and a pink haired girl came to my desk.
"Oi Satsuki-Chan good morning!"
"Ah hello Nonon have you practiced for your solo?"
"Yes yes yes i already know I'll win first place so I won't worry."
I smiled and looked around the classroom. Do students wear god robes here?
The day goes by and soon enough I'm at lunch.
I see Ryuko with Mako and a few others in the distance eating.
Jakuzure,Sanageyama,Gamagoori, Inumuta, and I sit together and eat.
This all seems so normal. Gamagoori gives me half of his apple because he feels I need a balance diet, and Inumuta has his eyes fixed on his computer the whole time. This life doesn't actually seem so bad. Everything is so peaceful.
Suddenly the sky darkens and Ryuko runs over to me.
"Satsuki what's going on!?"
"Calm down its probably just going to rain."
"W-what's happening? Satsuki- Satsuki look!"
Ryuko isn't wearing her uniform anymore, she's wearing Senketsu, and it's devouring her.
"Ryuko!"
Out from the midst of destruction Ragyo comes to us.
"You're so naive my daughter. You're father is dead and I'm alive."
"I'll never die"
Ragyo grabs Ryuko and rips her hear out.
I'm suddenly unable to breathe, I can't yell my sisters name.
I open my eyes and try to grab ahold of my surroundings. I'm sweating like crazy but I can't move my hands to wipe it off. I look up and see my hands are tied, also, I'm completely naked. I'm trapped in a cage in the ruins of Honnouji Academy.
Are these tears in my eyes?
Oh yeah I never grew with my sister I thought she was dead my whole childhood. My father is dead, and Ragyo is alive. Life fibers have taken over, but my plan hasn't completely failed yet.
Once again I ask myself,
Are these tears in my eyes?
