The DEO agents all stood staring at the pixelated representation of the imploding kryptonite and listening to the deadened radio. Alex's body was rigid, her eyes wide. A few moments passed, the room still quiet, as they watch the red pixels spread over the screen and then pull back to the source.

Alex's eyes burn as she sputters out her sister's name once more in an attempt to get her attention. "Kara!" she shouts. The radio is silent. Alex swallows, a knot of fear forming in the pit of her stomach. Beside her, Winn is scanning the screen, calculating the rate of which the cloud of kryptonite is spreading, and secretly scanning his sight over the screen, again and again, hoping that the little white arrow will pop up to beat down his growing fear.

With each passing moment, Supergirl's survival seems less and less likely. Alex brings her hand to her mouth, pushing back any emotions building inside. Winn rubs his face, a defeated look on his face, any trace of adrenaline from the mission gone. J'onn stood a few feet away, arms crossed, and his brow knitted together with anxiety.

Another minute passed. Winn stared hopelessly at the screen as Alex struggled to contain her distress. A few seconds later, there was a crash behind them. Everyone whipped around, some drawing guns, others keeping their firearms nearby. Kara stumbled forward, weighed down by the weight of the youngest Luthor.

Alex gasped, seemingly frozen in place. It didn't take long for some Agents to move forward and remove Lena from the room, escorting the unconscious woman to the medical wing. Kara collapsed as soon as the woman was safe. Alex felt tears falling onto her cheeks, wetting her face. She sprinted forward and crushed Kara in a hug. She didn't let go for what seemed like forever.

After a bit, she released her little sister. "I thought you were dead!" she exclaimed. "You let me think you were dead for seven minutes! Seven whole minutes, Kara! Do you even realize how long that is?"

Kara laughed. "That's not that long, Al."

"Yes, it is," Alex insisted stubbornly.

"No, it's not," Kara insisted.

Alex glared at her. "Are you okay? You scared me," she whispered. "You could've died."

Kara's features softened. "I'm fine. I'm sorry. I should've gotten out faster."

"No, you did the best you could. You're okay. Just don't ever do that again, you hear me?"

Kara laughed, "Okay, Mom."

Alex smacked her before standing up and helping her sister up. "Are you sure you're okay?" she asked when Kara winced.

"Yeah, yeah, just sore," Kara replied. Alex gave her a look. Kara winced again as she shrugged.

"Come on, sis, you're getting checked out just in case. That was a lot of kryptonite."

"Alright but I'm telling you I'm fine," Kara said.

"Alive is not the same as fine, Kara," Alex admonished.

"I know that!" Kara exclaimed.

"Sure you do."
