Author's Note: This is a brief one-shot that was written for the AtLA Fanfiction Challenges created by alyssialui, the challenge/competition being the April: No Names. So, obviously, there won't be any names. Until the end, you won't be able to tell who the characters are (or so I hope, that's the objective) and hopefully I get my point across. The word count is 300, the word limit being 300 so I was right there, not including author's notes. Here we go!

He woke up to see the sky above his head. Sighing, he turned over and looked out at the mountains that they were sleeping by. Just him and her. Just the earth between them. He could only see the stars, the mountains, and heard the birds in the trees above his head.

"Are you awake, sweetie?" asked the girl next to him, her dark hair blending in with the darkness of dawn.

"Yeah." he replied, turning towards her, smiling even though she could not see it.

"Go back to sleep, I'll make us breakfast." was her quiet reply, and he could see her slender body getting up. He adjusted the band around his head, the one he had been wearing for a few days just for protection, and stood up as well.

"I'll help."

"Fine. But don't try and firebend, you always make a huge fire and burn the food." she replied, her eyes shining even in the darkness.

"Sure."

They set to work putting together breakfast, watching the sun come out over the horizon. He smiled when he could finally see her in all her beauty and then set back to work after admiring her for a while. Everything seemed calm as they put the pot with food over the fire and he cut up food, smiling. He moved closer to her, and smiled, she leaned in closer and kissed him.

"I'm going to find food elsewhere." she smiled, and he nodded as she walked away.

The air bison behind him bellowed as he stared after her, watching her blue dress become more distant, and adjusting the band around his head yet again to try and cover his arrow. He turned around to create a fire under the pot with bending, thinking of it as a symbol of their love.

Author's Notes: I hope you enjoyed it, brief but good (hopefully) though it was, I appreciate reviews, and … yeah, so I do like reviews a whole lot! Thanks again!
