Katniss POV
Everywhere feels like hell... at least that's what it feels to me. There is no one for me to live for and I'm done trying to live for myself.
Ever since the end of the War I've been imprisoned inside my house, maybe not by anyone else but by the deep monsters that hunt me every day and every night. Greasy Sea comes in and out of my house everyday with her granddaughter, she prepares all the meals that I don't eat and cleans the house that I don't use.
At first I used to always lay in my bed but after a while couldn't take being in closed in that room full of horrible memories.
Now I spend my days in the rocking chair in the leaving room. I don't talk to anyone I don't absolutely need to and don't plan to either.
It's early morning when I hear Greasy Sea come into my house, by herself, again since last night, she walks into the kitchen and starts preparing breakfast.
"So girl how about you come join me for some breakfast , there's bacon and hot chocolate and something very important we need to talk about " calls Sea from the doorway
I painfully haul myself up from the couch and slowly drag my uncooperative body inside the kitchen and into one of the stools. I rest my arms on the table in front of me and lay my head on them.
Sea stands in front of me and passes me a plate full of rare strips of bacon and some fresh cheese along with a steaming cup of hot chocolate. Since the first time that I tried the delicious sweet drink I immediately liked it but it was impossible to buy in district twelve, even with enough money to buy it. This must have been an special order make by Sea from the Capitol. Even thought I hadn't been eating anything substantial in the past weeks I couldn't pass the opportunity of drinking this, so I took hold of the cup with the little forces that I had left and swiftly drank up the sweet brown liquid.
After I drained the whole cup and set it on the table I noticed that Sea was still starting at me intently. She takes a deep breath and starts talking again,
"So today I was talking to Haymitch and he me mentioned that someone very important is coming back to the District, do you anything about it ?" I shake my head no and stare back at her. I have no idea what she's taking about , I haven't been out of my house or had a real conversation with anyone in weeks and so many people are coming back to town now a days that it really could be anyone, although I doubt it's anyone important.
"Well then I'll be the first one to tell you. Peeta is coming back to town." She says with a straight face and soft stare.
I stare at her in complete shock. I can feel my heart beat in an extremely fast pace and my blood rushes faster than ever. I feel like crying, smiling and hiding in my closet all at once.
Still I can't believe it... he's coming back.
Peeta is coming back.
