Summary: Sam's tired, and he's looking for a future that will offer an escape from the inevitable. Not normal, but safe.
Sam dreams.
It's always night. Dean pulls over at the side of the road, in the middle of nowhere.
Hey Sammy. Dean pats the hood and Sam slides up onto the Impala beside him. They lie back with a sigh; the windshield their pillow, the canopy of stars a blanket above them.
It's peaceful. There's no road, no past, no future; nothing here to kill but time.
Sam wakes.
It's always night. Dean's words echo in his head. It's gonna end bloody.
Sam's seen too many endings. Too much blood. He doesn't want to be there when Dean dies again.
