A/N- This mini one-shot just popped into my head a few days ago… I hope you like it!
Dear Hermione,
You have no idea how hard it is to just say, "I fancy you". Believe me, I've tried for the majority of last year, and the year before that but I can't seem to bring myself up to just say it… so I'm writing it instead. Hermione, you are the most brilliant girl I've ever met, I really fancy you. Would you go out with me?
Your secret AdmirerP.S. You'll find out if you say yes
Ron shakily tied the short note to Hedwig's leg. 'Using Pig would be too obvious' he thought as Hedwig took off quickly out the open window.
-O-
Hedwig swooped through the oak double doors in the library and perched herself on a large stack of books, she hooted softly as if trying not to disturb anyone's studies.
"Hedwig?" Hermione looked up quizzically at her as she stretched her leg.
Hermione read the familiar looking handwriting quickly. A shy smile brushed her lips and she marched out of the library.
-O-
"Ron?" Hermione knocked on the door.
"Come in!" he said, not looking up from his Cannon's Playbook.
"If you're going to write a secret love note to someone; don't do it on personalized stationary… specially if said person gave it to you" she smirked.
Ron glanced up cheeks burning.
"Well?" she raised her eyebrows.
"Well what?" he choked out.
"Ask me out properly" she tapped her foot impatiently.
"Er…" 'She already knows… you might as well do it' he thought. "W-Would you like to er…go out with me?" he stammered hopefully.
She looked at him for a moment. "No"
Ron stood agape, color draining from his cheeks. A mischievous smile played across her face. He looked away dejectedly.
"I'd love to" she smiled once again and gave him a peck on the tip of his nose.
And just as fast as the color had drained his cheeks, it returned in full blossom.
The End.
A/N- Silly Ron thinking you could fool her! Review please!
