SUMMARY: Jack and Sam are married and have told each other everything. Or have they?

A/N: I know another story. This one's just a one shot. I thought of it while watching MacGuyver.

"Jack, I thought I asked you to stop telling the twins those wild stories."

"But, Sam, they love my stories."

"You keep making up these stories. How am I supposed to compete with that when I try to tuck them in?"

Jack wrapped his arms around his wife. "Sam, you don't have to compete with my stories. The kids just love you. I only tell them those stories to keep their minds off of wondering when Mommy's coming home. It keeps them from asking all the questions that I can't answer."

"Jack, I love you. I'm sorry that I didn't realize what you go through trying to keep them occupied."

"It gets even harder when you consider the fact that they're just as smart as you are."

Sam smiled. "At least they got something from me." The couple went to bed.

Jack and Sam were sitting at the kitchen table having coffee the next morning when there was a knock at the door.

Sam went to answer it. Jack didn't think anything of it until he heard, "Uncle Pete! How are you?"

A familiar voice answered her. "Considering that I had to hear about my favorite niece's wedding from her brother, not too bad. I didn't even get a call to tell me that you had kids now."

Jack put his coffee down and waited with baited breath. "Do you want to meet my husband?"

"Of course." Jack headed out toward the front door.

"Who is it, Sam?" Jack asked as he walked into the living room.

"It's my uncle. Pete Thornton." Pete walked into the house and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the man standing casually against the door frame.

"MacGuyver? Is it you?"

"Hey, Pete." Jack stood up and walked over to his old friend.

"MacGuyver? The guy you always told me about, Uncle Pete? The one in all of Jack's stories?"

Jack shrugged. "Guess they weren't just stories after all."
