If I had my way about it, I would've spent my entire life just laying on my bed with Jake. Especially when my parents were away. No dad constantly coming by and opening the door, no mom asking dad to read Jake and mine's minds. It was so annoying to be in the middle of a good moment, and then have your father swing the door open and mutter. I loved it when my parents went hunting. I never went hunting with them, Jake would always take me. The grand total hunting trips I'd taken without Jake was two. Both of those had ended in disaster.
"I wonder how long it's going to take before Aunt Alice comes over here and attempts to make breakfast again," I muttered.
Jake grunted, the arm he had wrapped around me moved a little as he did so. "She doesn't even know when we're going to actually get out of bed."
"So, I'm guessing sooner than later," I rolled my eyes at the thought.
Aunt Alice was a lot calmer about things than Dad was, but she was never one to not make her presence known. Dad always left her, uncle Emmett, and uncle Jasper behind when he and mom went hunting. Everyone else except those three and us were gone hunting for a few days. They were going far, for a good hunt. Usually, the kept close, but I had convinced them to do otherwise this weekend. Ha, I was good.
"Nessie, we have to get up eventually."
"Alice can always turn breakfast into lunch," I muttered back in reply.
"She could, or we could just get up," he replied.
"Ugh, why do you want to escape me so much? We finally get a moment to ourselves, without my parents around, but no. You want to get up out of bed and go talk to my Aunt and Uncles. There is something wrong with your head," I told him, rolling around so I was facing him. "Any other guy wouldn't move at all."
Jacob laughed. He laughed at me. "I don't want to move. Honestly, I don't."
"Good, because we're not," I told him.
And he kissed me.
I loved my family, don't get me wrong, but how they sit there and kiss stone cold rocks constantly confuses me. I mean, I guess I probably felt sort of that way to Jake, but I liked kissing him. He was warm and soft. Kissing rock would be…so odd.
Maybe you got used to it with time.
When we broke apart I muttered, "I love you."
"Love you too," he said, pulling me tight against him.
I kissed his neck. "I think I smell bacon."
"Want to get up now?"
"Nooo," I said, almost growling it. Then my stomach growled. "Though, I don't think my stomach agrees."
"I'm hungry too."
I rolled my eyes. "You're always hungry."
He let go of me, and stood up. I stood up too, and we walked to the door. "Nessie, are you and Jacob coming down to eat?" Emmett called up.
"Yea, we're coming," Jake yelled back.
"Is your name Nessie?" Emmett called back up.
Jake tried to imitate me voice, "Yes?"
"Yea, okay, sure," Emmett laughed. I could imagine him rolling his eyes.
I started walking toward the staircase, when Jake caught me by my waste and spin me around. He crushed his lips down on mine. "What was that for?"
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," I muttered.
And then my stomach ruined it by growling again. "Damn it," I mumbled.
"Breakfast time!" Alice called from downstairs.
