After the death of 'the lost boys' they thought everything was back to
normal, or at least the way it use to be.
They had disposed of the bodies by way of ocean. Star was living with Lucy and the family because she had no other means of housing, and Lucy had refused the idea of her staying in the old hotel. Laddie was returned to his parents. Edgar and Alan switched to working part time at their parents' comic book store so they would have more time to track down and terminate vampires. Michael began to work at the Frog's store so that he could save up money to get a house for Star and himself (they had plans of marrying).
Excited to be rid of the vampires, they all had overlooked the fact that Thorn was still alive. As they were busy forgetting past troubles, Thorn was on his way to Max's creator, Colwin. Colwin has powers that far surpass those that make rice appear to be maggots and noodles worms. Colwin's powers allowed Thorn to speak to him. Thorn had told Colwin of the goings on in Santa Carla. Outraged by his "offspring's" deaths, by children none the less, Colwin began to brew a plan to dispose of them for revenge and the prevention of other vampires deaths.
