The sun shined brightly, blinding me. I glanced over at my favorite companion – Naga. With such a blue sky you could really see the contrast of her dirty white mangled coat. I smiled.
"Its a nice warm day, right?" I asked her, running my hand along her spine. "How does a bath sound?" Naga gave me a look of pure horror. She shook her head and lunged forward. I cried out chasing her.
"Naga, you know you need one, get back here!" I exclaimed. I grabbed her tail and the large polar bear dog seemed to glare at me. I swung on top of her and patted her head. "C'mon take me to the Air Temple."
"So Ikki, you want to help me bathe Naga?" I asked smiling as I help up a rag and some soap.
"Nope! Boelin and I are going to play house! I'm the mother and he's my daughter." She explained. My left eyebrow shot up with amusement.
"Daughter?" I asked. She nodded eagerly with a grin.
"Yeah! I'm going to dress him like a princess." I burst out laughing holding my stomach.
"Alright, bring him over for me to see alright?" Ikki nodded running off when I noticed she was holding a tiara. I sighed in defeat. Nobody wanted to help me clean Naga. Using my bending I dumped water on Naga. She instantly shook out her fur.
"Naga!" I cried. "Stop it, you'll never get clean this way." Naga stubbornly turned her head away from me. I dumped water on her once again and began lathering her with soap. A tap on the shoulder made me spin around startled. I smiled at the familiar face of Mako.
"Looks like you need some help."
"Yeah, I-" Naga cut me off by pushing me down with her head. She transferred a ton of soap bubbles onto me as I fell into Mako. My sudden weight pushed him down as well and in the whir of the moment my lips got pushed to his. Our eyes met, wide and startled. Then slowly we both smiled as we parted. I stood up, offering a hand which he gratefully took.
"Thanks girl." Mako said rubbing Naga's head.
"Did you guys plan that?" I ask angrily. Mako smirked and shrugged.
"Stupid!" I exclaimed throwing a soap wash rag at him. I laughed as it precariously landed across his face. He grabbed it and wrung the bubbles onto me. Naga sat on the sidelines watching us. I gave her a pointed look.
"Don't think you're not getting a bath." I shouted while Mako laughed.
