Oh no I see…
I've spun a web, it's tangled up with me.
Aoshi looks at Kenshin, his eyes finally awake to reason. He knows, as he
closes his deep blue eyes to ponder, he has done enough.
And I lost my head
The thoughts of all the stupid things I said
His guilt slowly rises as he remembers everything he has spoken. That all
this trouble was all for them, for his comrades, his best friends. Although
now, as Himura's words spins in his head… was it really for them or was it
just for a title he wanted to keep to himself?

A spider web, and I'm caught in the middle
Stupid, Aoshi thinks. For the leader of the oniwabanshuu, what he has done
was unforgivable. He didn't know how to face them. Especially her.

ponders, reminding himself of the evil that he trapped himself in.

dreams.

Aoshi looks up.
There they were, his family, his home. Smiles, tears, joy, emotions
surrounded him as he finds himself engorged in their kindness.
He sees her, with arms open wide as she calls his name. He stood motionless
as he looks at her, remembering what Himura said about how much he had
caused her pain. And how much trouble he had caused her.
"Misao."

Aoshi feels her lithe arms wrap around his waist, her face hardly pressed to
his chest as she weeps in happiness in seeing him home.
"You're home Aoshi-sama... you're home..." He hears her whisper as he embraces
her close to him, overpowered by her love.
"Gomen Misao… gomen…"
