I do not own Sailor Moon or any of it's characters or backgrounds, but I DO own my original characters and original settings.
The streets were full of the busy workers as they made their morning preparations to begin work again on the palace. The city was full of life this morning, it was a beautiful day. The view of the Earth was clear and the shields were in place. Even the darkness outside the city domes seemed less dangerous then normal. Today was a day of rejoicing!
After many long months of constant building the palace was almost complete. They had rebuilt the city, from the foundations up, after the last attack from this unknown source. The city was now enhanced and enforced with new magics and was stronger than ever. Even the Palace, in all it's new shining glory, was made from the special marble that was shot through with the pure magics of protection.
This marked the two year anniversary of the battle, and the King's death. His people and his family were preparing to dedicate the rebuilding efforts to him. Many were lost, but none so precious as their king. He was the shining glory of the Moon Kingdom, the one who would protect before all else. He had been a gracious king, a kind and loving and respectable king. He was the Imperial Jewel among the Universe.
The king had left behind his beautiful Queen, Arthemicia, whom at the time was carrying his heir to the throne. Now he had two beautiful children, Maere and Dionna. They were both nearly identical sisters, born on the same day. Maere was beautiful, her dark hair framed her baby face, making her look like a baby doll.
Dionna on the other hand was just like her father, fair and pure. Her hair had the silvery white color that his had, and her laugh was pure innocence. Both children were well cared for and loved by one and all. Today, the dedication day of the palace, was also their second birthday.
Many came to the celebration and brought their gifts to the children. There was laughter and merriment and joy once again. Many people joined in the dancing and the singing and the celebration of life. The Queen watched over her people, smiling with the love she felt for them. At last, they could finally be at peace.
It was a celebration for all of the Moon Kingdom to join in, but unbeknownst to them all there was a darkness lurking, deep into the shadows it crept. Hiding within the cracks with malicious intent. Waiting ... waiting ... waiting for it's time to strike.
