"Okay, Court, I understand. I'll talk to you later.'' Gwen hung up the phone.

''I know she's not busy, she just doesn't want to deal with my bullshit. Damn its only been four months, but I feel like I'm going insane without him."

She looked at her contacts and saw a certain punk she hasn't talked to in a month. Since the breakup, she started dating Trent, and he wasn't the same anymore. Whenever he got home from work, he hit her until he saw blood. She misses Duncan. Courtney and her aren't close anymore. Everything is just different now.

''I'm calling him.'' Gwen clicked on the contact and called him. She waited. The third ring he answered.

"Hello?''

''Hey Duncan..'' Gwen hesitated a little.

''Gwen. Oh wow. It's been a while. How are you and Trent?''

''Um. It's over between Trent and I."

''Did he start that number nine thing again.'' Duncan laughed

Gwen laughed a little. ''No.''

''Are you feeling okay? We used to laugh about that for hours."

"Of course, Duncan. Hey! Would you like to come over, we could watch a movie or something." Gwen asked.

"Of course. Be there in 30." Duncan said hanging up the phone.

Gwen heard a knock from the door. When she opened it, she saw a familiar green haired punk.

''Hey Gwen." Duncan smiled and walked in

''Hey.'' She closed the door and sat on the couch. Duncan quickly followed her.

''So what happened to you and Trent? You seemed weird on the phone." Duncan questioned her.

''Well, you see, after we broke up, I was really lonely and I went back with him and when I did I guess he changed and he started abusing me..." Gwen trailed off.

"Wow. What an asshole. I swear if I see him I'm going to kick his ass." Duncan looked down for a second. "Hey, what is that?"

There was nothing but silence in the air

''Gwen.."

"I'm-Sor-''

"Gwen why?'' Duncan grabbed her wrist revealing a few cuts.

"Trent just kept abusing me, it felt like I had no one, but today you made feel like the happiest girl alive, I've just missed you so much."

"Sunshine, I had no idea. I wish I was here sooner. I thought about calling you to check in, but I thought you were doing much better without me." Duncan started getting tears in his eyes.

"Of course not. I waited for those calls."

Duncan put his face in his hands. "This is all my fault."

"What the hell, Duncan! Of course not! Do not ever say that again!"

"Gwen, I don't want anything to ever get in between us again, I am so sorry."

Gwen grabbed his face, and kissed him lightly.

"Don't ever be sorry, Duncan. Nothing is ever going to get in the way again. I promise."
