Author's Notes: Well, I'm exhausted from work. I started this yesterday and wanted to get it done today. Glad I did. It's really short... but I like it. I kept it in first person so that the readers can imagine whatever gender for Jamie. Heh, heh~. Once again, I got the prompt from otpprompts over on tumblr. It was hard to find one that was good for them... but not over the top.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything, blah blah, you know the drill.

"Hey. Hey, Jamie."

What did she want now? Gwen had visited almost every day. Sometimes, she would strike up conversation about Shun and the other animals. Other times, she would just sit there and watch me work. It was hardly annoying. Even when it was, she took the hint and left. She never dwindled around me if that was the case. I supposed it was something to appreciate. Of course, I would never say that to her.

"What is it now?"

There were many times when she would scold at me for not facing her. She claimed that it was rude and we had come too far in our friendship to not face.

When I turned around, though, she placed a small kiss on the tip of my nose.

I quickly raised my arms, ready to push her away. By then, Gwen was already on the other side of the fence, walking away from me. I could have sworn she was laughing, too. She was a strange girl.

... Maybe that was why I liked her.
