Author's Note: This is a short one-shot that popped in my head since Thanksgiving is coming up. Enjoy!
Bonnie's POV
I stood awkwardly in front of the door at the Salvatore mansion with my hand half way up to knock. I didn't know why I was doing this. Maybe it was because I felt bad for Damon since he was going to be by himself on Thanksgiving. Yes I know vampires don't celebrate the holidays like us humans but no one deserves to be alone. The front door opened and I saw Damon looking at me weird.
"How long are you going to stay outside before you would have knocked?" He asked me with his usual drinking glass in his left hand.
"I don't know. I was still debating."
"Debating about what?"
"Whether I should ask you over for Thanksgiving or not," I explained. He looked at me like I was insane.
"Are you seriously inviting a vampire to a Thanksgiving dinner?"
"Your alone Damon. You shouldn't spend a holiday alone."
"Trust me Little Red. You don't want a vampire at a house full of humans especially on Thanksgiving."
My eyes went wide. "Oh. Never mind then," I said turning to leave but felt his hand on my arm which made me stop and look at him.
Damon actually smiled at me. "Thanks for the offer though."
I smiled back at him. "You're welcome and if there's any blood drippings leftover from anything I'll wrap it up for you."
He raised an eyebrow amused. "Very funny."
"I thought it was. Bye Damon." I said leaving.
