We have had many hardships in the past but our peaceful coexistence with the empire has been a model of…" As he was going to finish the speech that his ancestors fought so hard in the past to make possible his head suddenly explodes off leaving a corpse that was standing in front of a crowd of millions. As the shock of what had happened sank in, the members of the audience screamed and ran from the hall as their former president's body falls limp. One of the people in the audience peers over the horizon and spots a zoid. He instantly recognizes it.
"There's a Leoposnipei on the horizon. That's an imperial Zoid! The imperial as killed our president."
Over a radio in a faraway encampment a voice comes over saying, "Mission Accomplished, Sir." A tall regal looking man smiles and flips to another channel on the radio. "Part 1 complete. Proceed to part 2."
Emperor Matthau was sitting in his office as a servant came into his office. "Sire, there is representative of the republican president here to see you out in the garden." A sly smile falls onto the servant's face as the emperor agrees to receive the visitor outside. When the emperor reaches outside, the cannons of the republic's zoid, the Shield Gunnerii, point at him. The last words the emperor heard was "Long live the Republic!" before he has instantly disintegrated by the double blast cannons.
The same radio clicks and says, "Part 2 complete sir. Awaiting commands." The man tells him to hold position and turns to a fellow officer and smirks. "It has begun. Bring in the camera, I think it's time to issue a statement, on behalf of our former emperor." The officer bows and quickly finds a camera with a feed. "Well…what are you waiting for? Turn on the camera." The camera is set up and a red light begins to glow on the top of it.
In imperial homes the image of the Prime Minister appears before them. "Citizens of the Empire. Today a heinous act was committed against us by our long time allies, the Helic Republic. Today at the imperial palace, a gentleman representing the President of the Republic open fire and assassinated the emperor. They claim it is in response to the assassination on their president made not soon before by what they claim was an imperial zoid however we know that our emperor wanted nothing but peace. Now I come before you as regent and Prime Minister, we must stand up and fight these republic scums. Punish them for killing our emperor and bring the Guylos Empire back to the power it once had centuries ago. Once again it is time to have a united Zi. Once again I urge for us to war against the republic, as it is obvious they want war."
On a video screen in a Gustav, a young man smiles. He yells to his partner, "Let's get going, there is work to be done."
