I don't think that even Roosevelt was this nervous before dropping the atom bomb. I keep reaching into my pocket to make sure that the box is still there. The smooth velvet tingles my fingers. I am going to propose to Sydney tonight. I think I might throw up. I can't stop sweating. Sydney will notice something wrong with me. There is. Love is wrong with me. Her laugh brightens my day. Her smile makes me sing. I get down on one knee, and all of my nervousness melts away.
"Will you marry me Sydney?" I choke.
She beams. "Yes."
