~ What's wrong? Don't be like that. After all..."~

Mary had strange dreams sometimes. But this dream, it took the cake. What didn't help was that Mary had the same dream every night. She was always on a white platform, at the foot of black, porcelain stairs, going up in a spiral. Mary had always climbed the stairs in each dream.

What was the most interesting (and intriguing), though, was that at the top of the stairs, a young man, with pale skin and hair as dark as night, waited for her every single night she had the dream.

He wore a mask, but it fell apart, piece by piece, each dream. The masked man would interact with her every night, well, taunt her. His words were laced with sweet poison, at least, that was how Mary would describe it. What Mary had always remembered each night, though - regardless if she had forgotten about her 'conversations' with the masked man - was that he always adressed Mary as a 'Queen'.

Mary kept the dreams to herself, not wanting to make Seto worry, though.

The masked man introduced himself as Kuroha one night, while the last piece that hid half of his face broke. Mary was curious as to what the masked man had meant; why he had said that he would meet her soon enough. The twisted grin - well, half of it anyway - on his face made Mary worry, but she continued to try and remain calm.

Of course, Mary didn't think that she would really be meeting the masked man.

So, when he had appeared, holding a pistol, with the same twisted, manical grin on his face, Mary thought that it was a coincidence. Then, when he, Kuroha, slaughtered her friends, somehow, in the midst of her panicking mind (is that..? oh god no nonononono this isn't real not real not real not real not real), she still thought that it was a coincidence (though, she had doubts now) that the graceful and gentle (although he taunts Mary about death and how he wishes to take her for himself) Kuroha in her dreams was the exact same Kuroha (insane and manical, yet somehow, still gentle in his mannerisms - like the Kuroha in her dreams) who was busy murdering her friends.

But, as she sobbed and screamed, (nononononono seto nonono whywouldyou stop stop stop stop stopstopstop pleasepleaseplease nononono whywhywhy) she definitely did not think that it was a coincidence at all, especially after Kuroha had bowed down to her, his clothes stained with her friend's blood, and said, in a sardonic tone, with a malicious grin,

"Hello, Queen. I finally get to see you in person. Exciting, is it not?"
