A/N: This is a just a short Scorpius/Rose that I wrote this evening. It's short and sweet, just like me. I'd love it if you took the time to read it, since I am actually relatively proud of it, despite it only taking half an hour to write. I don't own anything.

I hope you enjoy it! ~MaryLouise1996

I Said I Love You.

The first time we met was on the train. "Hi. I'm Rose Weasley and my dad says that I have to beat you in all the tests I do. What's your name?" I always had been a little rebel.

I was a hat-stall that year – the first one for decades. "Where shall I put you?" the Sorting Hat had whispered into my head. "I see daring and courage, loyalty and trust, I see cunning and ambition and I see brains. Lots and lots of those." It had eventually decided on Ravenclaw, and I didn't mind. I liked to be different. Besides, you had already been placed there, and we had talked all the way to school on the train.

All my family grew to accept you, especially since you hadn't been placed in Slytherin. You got on well with Albus (who was in Gryffindor) and James thought you were a laugh. You didn't run in the same circles – you had your friends and they had theirs – but you and I were oh-so close. I loved you like a brother, and I think the feeling was mutual.

As we boarded the train to head to school for our fifth year I hung out of the window to wave to my mum and you held on to my arm and laughed. Your grey eyes that were almost blue sparkled and my dad glowered at you touching me. He never had quite gotten over our friendship.

The Yule Ball that year was something special. The Christmas trees that you and I had helped Hagrid choose and carry back to school towered above the dressed up students and you appeared at my elbow and asked me to dance. I think that was the first time I felt anything more for you, when you lifted me into the air while I laughed and told you to put me down.

The night I broke down in tears was the night we first kissed. Our O.W.L's were just around the corner, and I had just caught the guy I was seeing with another girl. You held me against your firm chest while I cried and then you took me down to the lake. I saw the moon shining in the sky and I saw the world shining from your eyes. You kissed me and I kissed you back.

I remember my dad's face when we first told him about you and me. It kind of screwed up, and my mum had to take his hand to stop him doing anything. You were nervous that day, but I don't know why. You knew that what people thought didn't matter to me.

Tonight was special. We left school last year and you've been training as an Auror ever since. You say it's the least you can do after what your Grandfather did. You kissed me by the lake three years ago tonight. We came to Amsterdam to be together, and in the reflection of the canal, I said I love you. And you said you loved me too.
