Slinking his way along the sidewalk, Shouta thinks about what Hizashi would say. Absently petting the kitten's head, he furrows his brow at the thought of his husband. Hizashi would sigh again, probably. He's probably used to it by now.

Sighing, he looks down at the kitten, barely smaller than his cupped hands. Rubbing it's head with his thumb and smiling slightly as it purrs, he wonders if Hizashi would allow him to keep it. sure they already have six cats, but that doesn't mean they don't have room for another. Besides, it's just a kitten, it won't take up much room.

Shifting the small animal to his left hand, he uses his right to pull out the house key and unlock the door. Mumbling a small "I'm home," he shuts the door behind him with his foot. Bringing his right hand back up to hold the kitten properly, he hums thoughtfully. Hopefully his husband wouldn't mind too much.

"Shouta? Is that you?" Hizashi pokes his head around the corner of the door leading into the kitchen. Smiling brightly when their eyes meet he bounces over to him. Eyes roaming over Shouta to make sure he isn't injured, his eyes land on the kitten. Sighing in exasperation, he shakes his head slightly. "Please tell me you at least bought some more cat food to feed it with."

Shouta blinks, not expecting to not have to use puppy eyes on him. Guess his husband is more used to him bringing home cats than he thought. Nodding his head slightly to show that he had, he puts the small animal down gently, and pulls out the bag that the cans are in.

Hizashi sighs again and picks the kitten up off the low table. Rubbing it's head, he turns it on it's back so he can check the gender. Noting that it was female and making a mental note to get her fixed when she was older, he walks back to their room to put the kitten with one of the other female cats.

Padding after his husband to properly greet him once he was done, he smiles again at the sight of Hizashi patting the kitten. Slumping onto their bed, he sighs in relief at finally getting to rest. Closing his eyes as he waits for Hizashi to finish introducing the kitten to the others, he ends up dozing off.

Hizashi turns around to look at his spouse, and smiles gently at the sight of a softly snoring Shouta. Silently he walks back to their kitchen to put his food in the fridge. He then gets a glass of water before walking back to their room to settle against his husband's back. Humming softly, he cuddles closer and wraps an arm around Shouta. Nuzzling his face into his hair, he breathes softly in relief that his spouse wasn't hurt. Relaxing some more, Hizashi dozes off dreaming of cats and his husband in a cat onesie.
