I do not own anything from the Shin Megumi Tensei franchise.
It was foggy...That was the first thing Souji noticed as he slowly lumbered off the train that had brought him to the place known as Yasoinaba. It was dim and foggy...and a bit depressing. The platinum haired male looked into the sky to find that the sun was completely blocked by the mass of clouds hovering above. Very little light filtered through the mist allowing people to walk around, it not being night that is. Cars could be heard passing by on a nearby street.
"Hey, over here!"
Souji followed the voice to a standard built man wearing a suit without the jacket. As Souji approached him, he noticed a small head poking out from behind the older male.
"How's it going? I'm Ryotaro Doujima and this is my daughter, Nanako."
The girl now identified as Nanako removed herself from her hiding spot and gave a timid bow in greeting.
"It's been a while."
The man gave a hefty chuckle before replying,"I'm surprised you remember me. I used to change your diapers, y'know."
Souji felt a bit freaked out that his uncle would say such a thing to his face. It was almost like he was saying he had seen him naked.

The youth felt the car come to a stop at the Moel gas station. After his uncle went for a smoke and little Nanako, Souji decided to get out of the car for some air. The silver eyed teen took in the surrounding city. Women walked by carrying baskets full of groceries as they gossiped about whatever had happened in the latest. He couldn't help but roll his eyes as they passed. An odd voice interrupted Souji's thoughts. The voice seemed to lack a gender all together.
"So you're from the city, huh?"The wavy locked young supposed man drawled casually. "It's kinda boring out here in the country. If you want, you could come work here. I'll put in a good word for you. Here. Nice to meet you."
The Moel attendant put out an awaiting hand. The boy let out a soft breath as he made contact with the welcoming hand. Immediately, he felt his head swell with dizziness. It felt as though he was being spun around while falling through water like a boulder. Small footsteps were all he could hear before a voice cleared some of his vertigo.
"Are you okay?" Nanako's said in a soft voice. "You don't look so good."
The teen responded with a quick nod before Doujima returned with a cigarette hanging lazily from his lips. The light-haired teenager leaned his head against the cool glass of the car window in hopes of keeping his now growing drowsiness reigned in. Souji looked out the window and nearly jumped upon finding the attendant smiling warmly at him. It was uncomfortable that he was so close that if he leaned any closer, he'd be pressed against glass Souji himself was leaning on. The silver-haired male continued to look at the other man until his neck would no longer allow as Doujima started the car and made his way out the lot. The strange man merely waved while holding his eery smile in place.
Souji suppressed a shiver as he gave his attention to the passing buildings in order to keep his mind focused enough to answer some of his uncle's questions and remarks. But no matter what, he felt a fog clouding the back of his mind.
The only thought that seemed to make it through his jumbled brain was:
Inaba seems to be really strange...
I know some people prefer Yu Narukami over Souji Seta, but I personally like the latter.
Hope it wasn't too bland. It started to bland for my liking. And that sounded repetitive...
Please leave me some criticism. I need some type of feedback. I'd be very happy.
Please stick around for next time.
