Burning Twilight
It was a dark and gloomy night as Naruto and his friends ran farther and farther away from their village, the Village Hidden in the Leaves. The compromised group of ninjas, Tenten, Ino Yamanaka, Kiba Inuzuka, Naruto Uzumaki, Shino Aburame, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Hinata Hyuuga, and Neji Hyuuga were on an s-ranked mission, which was beyond their level of measly Chunin. But, as Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage said, "Desperate times call for desperate measures." The group was to head out into three squadrons, each with a leader capable of making quick decisions. Group one consisted of Tenten, Ino, and Shino with Shino being the team leader. Group two consisted of the original squad seven; Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto with Sakura being the team leader. Last but not least, Group 3 which consisted of Kiba, Hinata, and Neji with Neji being the team leader. The team separated but not before Kiba and Naruto met up with Shino. "Shino, I don't want t-Naruto, I'll be fine."So will Kiba okay?" "OK." "Naruto, we will make sure Sakura and Sasuke will look after you." "Ok, and Kiba, Shino?" "Ya?" Kiba and Shino both said in unison. "I love you guys." As Naruto departed from Kiba and Shino, the other groups were already to go. "are we ready now?" asked Ino? " Ya, let's go." As the teams separated, they were unaware of the strange shadow lurking in the trees. The teams were making good progress so far. They had already gone to the border of their village when the branch above them caught into flames. Everyone gasped into surprise. " Hi, kiddies. Wanna play with me?" " Fire style, devastating field jutsu!" the stranger screamed. "Naruto, who was in charge of all squads screamed, " All squads attack!" " Fireball Jutsu! Sleeping Flowers Jutsu! Weapons Barrage Jutsu! Shadow Clone Jutsu! Parasitic Insects Jutsu!" The team was fast, but the enemy was faster. "Secret Genjutsu! Ultimate Dimensions Jutsu!" The team screamed as they were warped into reality, and transferred to the same place they were in, but with some changes. " Guys?!" "Naruto where are you?!" "I'm with Sakura and Tenten!" "We have to find each other" " I know!" Just then they hear a dark cackle. " Better stay where you are kids... If any of you move, I kill the fox!" "See you later kiddies" the dark cackling soon disappeared. How were Naruto and the others gonna get through this one?
