Rudi burst through the front window, holding a gun. Ash and Misty screamed. "Hah!! Thought you'd escape, didn't you? Well, I decided to pay you a little visit now!" "You'll never take Misty, Rudi!!" "You think so? Well, how about this!" he shot at Misty. She managed to duck the bullets, but Rudi immediately fired at her. She didn't stand a chance. But, before the bullets hit, Malachite teleported right in front of Misty. The bullets hit him right on the leg. "What...do...you...think...you...are...doing?" he said. He fired a massive beam of concentrated energy. Rudi had a hole through his chest. He managed, just before he died, to shoot at Ash. Suddenly, all Misty could hear was the bang of the gun. Everything seemed to be in slow motion. She could see the bullets headed straight for Ash's heart. If she could move, she would have blocked them. Suddenly, Malachite jumped out in front of Ash. The bullets hit him. "Malachite!! No!!" screamed Misty as Malachite slumped to the floor. "You...have...made...yourselves...a...worthy...friend...of...the...Wanderers. I...saved...you...so...you...could...be...happy." "Please, Malachite, don't leave us!" said Ash. "There...is...no...hope...for...me...now. All...I...ask...is...for...you...to...be...happy. I leave you now." And Malachite, greatest and last of all the Wanderers, died. "Why did he save us?" said Misty. "He wanted us to be happy. Some people are like that. They don't care about themselves though they don't show it. They only care about others. I think it was fate for us to live. I'll never forget the time you died twice, Misty. That was a twist of fate. It must be fate for us to be together. Soulmates. It was a strange force working the day you got shot." "Ash, I think you're right, now shut it and kiss me!" They kissed.
