The same evening:
Everyone in the girl's dorm was talking to Jeff. Or Jeff was keeping an eye on Juliette along with other girls.
- Did anyone talked to her?
- I did- Juliette replied looking at the ground.
- Well isn't it great, one cutting freak is making other one go ballistic- Shelby said with a smile.
- Shelby! - Jeff raised his eyebrows looking at Shelby.
- Well, that is true, Juliette who talked to Katie....
- It wasn't my fault!!!!!
- Ok, guys it's time to go to bed, I'll stay in your dorm until you all are asleep
- Great, now we have a dog to watch us over.
- Very funny Daisy, now you go and get ready for I'll check on the guys and will be right back.
At the hospital:
Peter and Sophie were sitting in the waiting area, looking at the room where Katie was taken.
- How did I miss that Soph?
- Peter you didn't miss anything, there was no record of her being a cutter.
- I mean, she is like Juliette. Perfect. Quiet. Girly looking. Anorexic. I should have known better.
- What about her brother?
- I don't know. He is weird. I mean he doesn't like anyone. He rejected everyone in his cabin. He doesn't talk in classes. Even when Scott got here, on the third day he got into a fight with Auggie. Sometimes I get this creepy feeling, that he hides something. Something that no ones should know. And his attitude toward Katie is definitely strange. He is trying to hurt her in some way all the time. He talks about her like they are not related or something. And Katie acts like she is afraid of him. I got a felling that there is something going on between those two.
- I don't know, I mean I like Katie. She is very sweet.
- Sophie Becker or Peter Scarbrow is here?- the doctor asked as he walked in.
- Yeah. I am Sophie, how is Katie?
- Well she will pull through, I need someone to feel out the papers and then you can see her.
- Sophie, you'll go and I'll join you later.
Sophie went up the stairs. She looked for room number 15A. She stopped before entering and took a deep breath and opened the door. Katie was lying in the middle of the room, with her hands tied to the bed, and her head turned toward the window. Katie turned around and saw Sophie standing in the door. Then Peter appeared behind Sophie. Tears started to flow down. Sophie hugged Katie. The girl tried to hug Sophie back, but ropes kept her tied to the bed. Peter untied them and hugged Katie as well. The tears started to flow even faster. In that moment no one said a word. They just hugged. Then Katie looked up and said:
- I am so sorry.
- Don't speak right now, you are too weak, we'll talk when we get to Horizon.
- No I want to tell everything now!!!!!!
- Shsh, we'll talk in Horizon, when I am sure that you are safe.
