Finally decided to take a shot at a Twilight fanfic since I finished Broken. I'm sure there are a hundred of these "Nessie all grown up" type fics but this one will stand out. Promise.
"I know you can do it." I said. I was trying to keep my voice from sounding winey but it was difficult.
"No." Jacob Black replied to me. His face was set in a stern expression. It almost looked like he was in pain.
"Please, Jake. Its my birthday, I finally get to stop aging so fast. I want to skip school." I moaned.
"No." he replied. I could tell he was breaking so I played the lowest card I could.
"I thought an Imprint meant you'd do anything for me." I dropped my eyes to the floor and tried to look as disappointed as possible. I didn't know if this would work, I mean, he had begun to stop looking at me like something he needed to gaurd and more like someone he was in love with. I felt the same way, of course. My "heart" had begun to do this little flutter thing when he touched me. It made me feel more human than vampire to be honest. He was so warm, his arms completely strong. Love was definately a thing we both felt for each other.
"Nessie, your mom will kill me." He said, wrappping me in his arms so I was forced to look up at him. I watched as his face slowely darkened. "Not to mention Edward."
"My parents wont touch you." I pleaded. He bent just enough to kiss me on the forehead. "Please?"
"Okay." he mumbled.
"Yes!" I shrieked, jumping in the air. "Let's go cliff diving."
Cliff diving had become one of my favorite past times. Being a vampire helped alot. I could feel the change in the currents before I hit the water, the speed that my brain worked at made the fall seem so slow which allowed me to make a perfect dive. I think that was my favorite thing. I would hit the water like a torpedo, kicking my legs until I hit bottom. I usually would even have enough time to scan for unique shells before Jake would get worried.
I stood at the tip top of the cliff in my black string bikini, my bronze hair flapping wildly, and I inhaled. The wonderful scents of the ocean washed into my lungs and I bathed in them. Sure, I didn't need to breathe but I definately knew why the rest of my family did. I bent my knees, grabbing the rough end of the stone with my toes, and jumped.
I began my slow free-fall, getting into my perfectly straight position. The wind whistled in my ears as the water came to meet me in a happy embrace. The water was calm today, there wasn't the usual waves making their useless fight to toss me around. I made my way quickly to the bottom, scanning the area for a shell that would catch my eye. Instead I found an intricately designed gold crest sitting in the sand, a V prominately stood out in the middle. My stomach dropped. This wasn't here before.
It gets better! Please review, let me know how you liked it. or if you didn't like it, why you didn't like it... just review. K?
