Quinn always had feelings for Puck after they give up Beth; no matter how hard she tried to push it to the back of her mind or how much she tried to hide it. There was always that little nerve that tweaked in her mind when his name was said aloud or when a sappy song came on that she felt she connected to because of him. But when Mr. Shuester picked the pairings for duets one week in Glee club, Quinn tried to push her feelings even farther back in her mind. She started doubting they even existed in the first place.
"I never had feelings for Puck before…" she thought to herself. But again, as his name was said, her heart turned to mush and her mind immediately went to the moment that Puck said he loved her in the hospital room as they were admiring their daughter from afar.
And she tried and she tried to make her feelings disappear for good, but she couldn't. They still lingered even when she acted like they were gone.
The day after their names were pulled, Puck came up to Quinn at her locker, and he asked her what song she wanted them to sing. Everything was up to her when it came to Quinn and Puck.
