He was on the floor. Or, more accurately, he'd fallen on the floor after tripping over his own shoelace.
Lifting his cheek up from the floor and bringing his leg out to where he could see it, he looked down at his shoe and cursed the sight of it.
"Damn you, laces!"
Seeing a figure out of the corner of his eye, he turned his head further.
Shit. Brian was doing hand stands again. He was really not as good at those as he liked to think.
Right as Justin's brain processed this fact, Brian lost his balance and fell over, banging into the...what was it, anyway? Scrunching his face in concentration, Justin racked his brain for the right word. It wasn't a wall, because walls didn't slide. Partition, maybe? Separator?
Whatever.
Brian had fallen over and knocked into the sliding door things separating the bedroom from the rest of the loft. Making a loud thunk as he landed, a slew of what Justin assumed were curses flew vehemently from his mouth.
Justin laughed. He couldn't even decipher the words Brian was saying, but the speed and ferocity with which Brian was speaking them was a dead give-away.
Brian was drink. No, that wasn't right. Justin shook his head, face screwing up again, this time in fear. Shit! Justin was loosing his IQ points as he sat there and thunk!
Thunk? That definitely wasn't right.
He thought.
And thought.
And thought some more.
Suddenly the word popped up in his mind, bright and shining and wonderful.
Drunk! Brian was drunk!
Justin smiled. His brain was back.
"Hey, asshole, in case you can't tell, I just fucking fell and hurt myself. Come help me."
Or, at least, that's what Justin assumed Brian meant.
Because what he said, well, that sounded something like, "hey, asshole, in haste tucan well, I just vucking tell ban burnt my elf. Come help me."
Justin looked down at his untied shoe, and then back up at Brian, who was on his back near the stairs, his legs resting against the wall.
Shoe.
Brian.
Shoe.
Brian.
Shit. He was too drunk for this.
He was never celebrating National Tequila Day with Brian ever again.
