Fireworks
From within his very own haven, Porky had seen over and over and over and over and over again the days passed, days into nights and nights into days. They just wouldn't stop coming! Porky almost didn't expect them to continue for so long. Not after such rumbling and commotion that erupted so long ago, after he had achieved true protection. Porky sneered as he lay fondly on his eternal death bed because of the events that had happened so long ago. Oh, he was such a bad boy, and the fact made him happy. Yet Porky was dreadfully bored, alone only to his thoughts.
And yet, something was off about this passage of time in particular. Looking outside of the small window of the Absolutely Safe Capsule revealed barren land, but that was nothing too surprising. Strangely, he felt proud at the desolate state, and himself being safe. Porky tried to count how long it had been in his head. He shook off the thought process and lay down as he had been.
Suddenly, there was a roll of a sort. Porky wheezed as his spider mechanic's limbs scrambled against the walls of the capsule to balance. Something akin to this experience down a hill flickered in the Pig King's mind. As the forward lurch ended, Porky found himself face up, looking directly at the sky.
Something was out there, something he couldn't see. It was unnaturally bright out, now that he had thought of it. More unnatural than before, considering his time-out in a ball with limited sunlight, at least. He lifted an arm, that effort in itself causing his limb to tremble, to shift his stringy white hair out of his eyes. Porky tilted his neck, and he saw.
Fiery streaks of light flew across the sky, lighting up the world. Blasts of light were propelled throughout the air, with such golden colors. The sky went dark with smoggy clouds, and the area near the capsule began to heat up, he could tell, of course no harm would come to him still. Dull recognition flashed in Porky's eyes.
"Fireworks…" he croaked, a childish smile on his face. "It's fireworks, the world is celebrating me!" Porky immediately convulsed into a massive coughing fit. The fireworks put on a show for no one but but the old little boy, for no one else could witness it. The air outside began to sizzle underneath the radiation and heat of the Sun.
The King laughed until he physically couldn't go on any longer. The planet strained until it physically couldn't go on any longer. As he sat and watched with long, gasping wheezes, the Earth, the Nowhere Islands, the Solar System as we know it, evaporated.
And yet, Porky remained. After calming down, he glanced out the window, only to find himself absolutely alone. The remains of rock hurtled throughout the atmosphere, space and the universe cold, empty, and uncaring to any wishes of the one living being that survived its destruction.
Porky sighed in light annoyance at the time-out punishment, sure to induce even more boredom, before falling asleep soundly and without any past or current thoughts.
Hey fellas, long time no see...It's been over a year since I last wrote for the EB fandom, and that was with a crossover. I'm really back into it now, so I'm hoping I'll have the willpower to write more this summer. Happy summer break, by the way, and have a nice day.
