Sometimes, Yuki wished he were an artist.
He wished he was a lot of things; stronger, more sure of himself, a better person.
But, every now and then, he'd wish he were an artist.
It didn't happen very often. In fact, in his entire lifetime, he had probably only wished it three or four times.
He didn't ever really take notice of his surroundings. Sure, he'd know he was out at his secret base, and yes, it was quiet and warm and peaceful there. But every once in a while, he'd really notice where he was, and just what everything here really looked like. He'd notice just how delicately the leaves of his plants would tilt downwards and lay across the earthen floor, which suddenly would seem more than just brown. He'd notice just how beautifully the sunlight that peeked through the leaves would fall across the plants, making them appear to glow in certain places.
These were the times that he wished he were an artist.
It almost never happened, but when it did, he was content and in a very peaceful mood, and he was able to just see these things. And, he would be at peace, looking at the beauty of it all. That is, until he became frustrated from the fact that he had no pencils or paints, and that he had no talent for art at all.
And now, at this very moment, he was feeling very content, and completely at peace, and he wished he was an artist.
Just in front of him, Machi was lying in bed, sound asleep, with a white sheet draped gently upon her hips. She was nude, but arm was conveniently, and almost seductively, resting across her chest. Moonlight was flooding in through the window, falling over her still form, giving the impression that she was softly glowing.
Of course, not everything in this scene was perfect. This was Machi's room, and so there were books and papers and clothes everywhere. Only, that didn't matter, and it certainly did not ruin the beautiful sight.
But, Yuki dearly wished he had some paints, and even just the slightest bit of artistic talent.
A cute little one-shot.
Expect another Yuki-Machi pairing to come up sometime in the future.
Please leave some constructive criticisms.
