So this is… pure fluff. Don't know if it counts as a V-day fic lol since I don't exactly mention V-day in it. It's raining really heavily here where I stay… so the inspiration for this story came from the sky, literally! 3 Rounds And A Sound
"REMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Cameron screamed as the lights in the bedroom and the entire apartment went out all at once.
The loud thunder rang through the place, accompanied by lightning which flashed every few seconds.
"Don't panic! I'm coming!" Remy shouted from the kitchen.
The brunette dashed to the bedroom to find Cameron with her hands over her ears and her eyes shut. She looked like a 5 year old, which was too adorable.
Cameron opened her eyes as she sensed the brunette's presence; she found her smirking at her.
"What?" Cameron said loudly, with her hands still covering her ears.
"Nothing… you just look really cute…" Remy grinned and began placing candles around the room.
"What?!" Cameron asked again, not hearing what the brunette had said.
Remy shook her head and smiled before gently taking Cameron's hands in hers, uncovering the blonde's ears.
"I said… help me with these candles… the power is not gonna come back for some time…"
Cameron flinched every time the lightning flashed. She had a silly phobia it would one day come through the window and strike the both of them or something. She shuddered when the thunder roared again.
Soon, the girls had about ten small fragrant candles lit up and placed around the room. Cameron smelled the perfumed lavender air. She suddenly felt more at ease and not as frightened by the thunderstorm as she was a few minutes ago.
"Hmm… one more thing…" Remy muttered to herself and turned on her Ipod speakers.
Blind Pilot's '3 Rounds and A Sound' began playing softly. The smooth sound of the guitar and their voices filled the room and made it all cosier.
Remy looked at the blonde who was taking in the scent of the candles. She looked absolutely beautiful under the warm candle light.
"Come here…" Remy smiled and stretched a hand out to her girlfriend.
Allison took it and before she knew it, Remy was pulling her into a slow dance.
The blonde chuckled as Remy swayed them to the music, "Do you do this with all your girlfriends when it starts raining heavily?"
"Nope…" Remy said with her eyes closed, relaxing into the dance, "Only the ones I love…"
"And how many have you loved exactly…" Cameron scoffed playfully, leaning the left side of her head against Remy's right.
"Just one… very… special… girl… she's an ER head…" Remy whispered into her ear and smiled to herself.
Cameron couldn't hide the silly grin that appeared on her own face. The brunette tightened her arm around her comfortably as the thunder roared again.
Cameron closed her eyes and buried her face into the taller doctor's shoulder, giving it a light kiss.
They stayed like that for a while, twirling slowly on the spot together to the beautiful music.
"I love you…" Cameron whispered softly.
Remy pulled apart a little, so that she could lean in for a short passionate kiss.
"I love you back…" Remy whispered, causing both of them to grin as they continued dancing with their foreheads leaning against each other's.
