"Rex! Behind you!"
Rex turned to face the EVO that was charging him from behind. So-called EVO being Biowulf. Van Kleiss was once again causing trouble. For what reason this time, only the pack knew.
"Hey Rex! Your girlfriend is trying to kill me!" Noah shouted as he tried to fend off the female EVO.
"Rex has a girlfriend?" One commented.
Rex glared at the Agent. "What is it so hard to believe that I can have a girlfriend?"
One shrugged while fending off Skalamander. "Who knows. I only just got to Providence like what a month ago? And don't you have a crush on Dr. Holiday?"
"Well, yeah, but…"
"He's in love with the EVO working for Van Kleiss. So technically she's trying to kill him as well," Bobo remarked.
"Bobo!" Rex scolded.
He protested, "What? It's true!"
Rex rolled his eyes and punched the twin EVO's away once again.
One paused in his fight to look over at Circe.
"She's a looker. I won't debate that," he commented to Circe's embarrassment.
Rex only shook his head and punched the EVO away from him.
"Just make sure she doesn't lose her common sense in her path of life."
"What do you mean?" Rex questioned.
"Let's just say I've been in your shoes, but on a slightly different level. We were fighting for the same cause, but her life turned upside down with her family activating into EVO's," One replied.
"Who?" Noah asked.
He laughed. "…You guys actually know her. It was Agent Two."
The others paused in their fights before forcing their attention back.
"Uh, did I just hear him right?" Bobo asked Rex.
Rex nodded, "I think so. That's harsh, man."
One grimaced, "Yeah, you have no idea."
"Yeah. It's hard to imagine that she was once kind enough to be your girlfriend."
"Like I said kid. Keep the warning in mind. You wouldn't want something to happen to cause your girl to become the same way," One said as he pushed Skalamander into a ditch where the EVO struggled to get back up until a portal swallowed him up.
The other EVO's disappeared through the same portals leaving the Providence soldiers and agents standing in the street.
One turned to Rex. "If you want to keep her, then you may want to turn her from this path she has placed herself upon."
Rex stared into One's eyes noticing the pain behind them. "I know."
"Good. And don't forget it," he pushed the point home. He turned back to the soldiers waiting for orders. "Now, let's get back to Providence and Party! For a job well done!"
The soldiers all cheered and piled back into the armored vehicles. One turned to Rex and Noah. "You two coming?"
Rex and Noah jogged into one of the vehicles with One and Six following.
"Sometimes I think you're more of a bad influence for him than a good one," Six whispered.
One laughed in response and slapped Six on the shoulder. "You could tell White Knight that and I'm sure he'd agree with you."
They sat down as the door slid shut.
