Whispers melded together, a hushed overwhelming harmony. Memories faded. Once. Twice. Thrice. They glowed bright.Moonlight, fights, thrill, sorrow, death….Burning Yearning Turning away, fleeting, and speeding…slowing… stopping… blocking...Mocking.

Smoke fills his lungs, choking him, the room blurs, and flames lick the walls. 'Can't breathe. Can't...' A chorus rings in his ears as the world spins under him. He stumbles for the exit, blocked it burns, the paintings once again build into a crescendo of fate.

He gasps for air no longer there. He crumbles. 'Help me…' He sobs dryly. 'Move PLEASE! Keep trying' Panic fills him with adrenaline. He crawls toward the stair way, tumbling onward. He smiled hazily as he reached the top, the key to getting out alive.

'Yes.' He pushed the handle down. He froze jerking it in a shocked realization. He cried banging and pushing desperately. He didn't want to die. Not yet.

'It's no use.' A shaky thread of energy embraces him. 'I don't want to die here.' He collapsed curling into himself. 'I know.' The embrace tightened as the fire spread up the banister of the stairs.

'So sleepy…' He mumbled his eyes drooping. 'Then sleep.' Soothingly the energy ran a hand through his hair.

''rad.'

'Yes?'

'I love you.' His breathing slowed becoming nonexistent.

Silence then 'And I you Satoshi, and I you.' The curse smiled bitterly as the rescuers arrived, just a little bit too late.
