The Lodger
Craig was all set to confess what he felt to Sophie, and then he came along. The Doctor, no first name or last name. And everything changed, for good or bad well... maybe we'll never know.
"Me and you; it's not gonna work out. You've only been here three days and it's been the weirdest three days of my life!" I exclaimed trying to stand my ground but stepping backwards as he advanced on me.
"You're days will get a lot weirder if I go." The Doctor said calmly, our bodies inches from eachother's.
"I thought it was good weird but it's not it's bad weird. I can't do this any more." I said trying to hold back the tears that are threatening to fall, for what, I have no idea. We both fell silent. I studied his eyes; dark, burning eyes that held mystery and excitement, but a softness that shone through.
"I have to stay." He said forcefully, his voice raising slightly.
"No. Get Out. Just Get Out." I shouted, attempting to pull him out of the flat by force. I grabbed his jacket and tugged him forward, only realising my mistake when our bodies were pulled flush against eachother's.
"Oh, I'm gonna regret this." The doctor whispered his eyes lingering on mine for a second before he leant his lips down to mine. At first I didn't respond to the sudden touch but the feeling of the doctor's lips on mine overwhelmed me and I slipped into submission to him. Suddenly a strange, sick feeling of pain took over and I felt myself slip into a strange whirlwind of thoughts, that I could understand with perfect clarity. A pain in my head increased and my brain started to recognise the images that spun through my mind. His different faces, white hair, brown hair, big nose, tanned skin, wide- eyed, unruly hair... different identities and bodies but all the same. Timelord... the name echoed through my brain and then another set of images, all names and faces of his 'companions'; Martha, Donna, Rose, Mickey, Captain Jack, Sarah Jane, Amy, Rory, Izzy, Frobisher, K-9, Susan, John, Gillian. The list was endless, stretching back further than I had ever imagined. I pulled away from his lips, the amazing taste still on my lips.
"What the..." I started but was cut off by the doctor pressing up against me again and cupped my face in his hands.
"There's more than that." He whispered his breath on my lips. This time when he kissed me again, I was ready for the strange feeling and I let the images flow through my mind sorting themselves wordlessly. The Tardis; a time machine that the doctor used to move from dimensions and planets with a pull of a lever. Enemies; Aliens like you'd never imagine but he wasn't fazed by them. That's because he is one. I corrected myself sifting through the final images. There were faces I recognised like Captain Jack Harkness- the man that made even the straight fall in love with him, and a human named Ianto Jones, there were other people that joined them in the mental images that the doctor had stored. Two women and another man; One by one they disappeared until the captain was on his own and the only other remaining women was in charge of the organisation. Torchwood Institute.
