Chapter One: Down the Rabbit Hole
Cameron opened her eyes. Something wasn't right.
Where's House? she wondered.
"Cameron?" Cameron's ear drums rang.
"House, I'm right here!" Cameron replied. Her voice sounded tinny and small. Strange...
House's face loomed into view as he lifted up her nightshirt-turned-circus tent, startling Cameron.
"Cameron? You alright?" House repeated, lowering his voice so that he didn't deafen her.
"I guess..."
"You do realise that you're the size of a Barbie doll?" House asked.
"Barbie isn't even anatomically correct. I am."
"So? You can still be the same height as Barbie."
"How tall is Barbie anyway?"
"I didn't play with Barbies when I was little, so I can't answer that one. Wilson might be able to, though."
House placed a finger lightly on her chest as he said this.
"Are you actually turned on by this?" Cameron demanded.
"Your heart-rate's up," House said, ignoring Cameron's remark.
"Well, I did shrink," Cameron pointed out grumpily.
House carefully picked her up between the forefinger and thumb of his right hand.
"Don't drop me!"
"Don't worry, sweetheart, I won't," comforted House, dropping her gently into the shirt pocket of his pajama shirt.
