Hey guys! This is me, trying my hand at a oneshot for Glee. (Hey, that rhymed!) Anyway, this was meant for a class assignment - we were asked to make a fanfiction of anything we want, how awesome is that? - but I ended up doing two versions. I opted for the longer one, and later on we'll deliberate it. If all goes well, I might post it here. :)
This one-shot is dedicated to Raymond, one of my classmates in Creative Writing class. (If he ever goes back around here and read my stuff) And also Arielle, who's birthday is today.
Disclaimer: I do not own Glee and its characters.
Now and Then
Bright colors exploded behind her eyelids as their lips met. Fireworks, she thought, (or she thought she thought – her mind had gone blank). Even after all this time... after everything that's happened between them the spark was still there.
She wanted to hold on to him, to wrap her arms around his neck and lean in closer like she used to. Suddenly she longed for the familiar warmth that enveloped her as his arms found their way around her waist back when there was nothing wrong with it. A wave of nostalgia crashed through her in that moment and she wanted desperately to stop time.
But time did as time should do: move on. Soon she pulled back, finally feeling the prickling on her neck caused by the curious stares of her peers. Still, she couldn't pull her gaze away from his. Couldn't stop herself from drowning in his eyes, searching for a sign that maybe he felt the same way.
A heated stare from her side reminded her of the person standing next to her. Gripping the side of the table, she pulled herself out of the daze the kiss put her in. She bent her head down in his direction. "Satisfied?" she asked.
"Yeah," came the quiet reply.
It was Sam who answered her. Sam: the one standing next to her, looking at her so earnestly. Sam: the one who gave her the promise ring she wore on her finger. Sam: her boyfriend.
So why did it feel like the question was meant for Finn?
Yes, that's how short it is. I'm sorry! Now you see why I chose the longer one right? Well, with this I was sort of hoping for a flash-fiction sort of thing. But when I saw that my other classmates' works were above 500 words, I opted to do the same.
Thanks for taking the time to read this! And I do hope you review!
Much love,
