Did You Ever Wonder?
A conversation between Chiyo and Osaka.
Well, today was really something, we talked about marine life. Miss Yukari got bored of teaching English again, anyway, I felt kinda bad for Osaka…..Miss Yukari decided to mess with her and asked her to pronounce this fish name and well, it didn't go too well for Osaka. She can be so cruel! But if she couldn't pronounce Yamapikaria, I don't think she can really be expected to pronounce Humuhumunukunukuapuaa. But there was a fish Osaka seemed particularly interested in today…..
"Hey Chiyo? I've been thinking….why do they call that fish a catfish?"
"Well, I assume it's because of the whiskers."
"Well that doesn't mean anything! Not only do REAL cats HATE water(and Sakaki), but cats eat fish! Now if a catfish did that, it would be cannibalism!"
"Of course Osaka, whatever you say."
"You know Chiyo, there's a whole lot of other things that don't make sense!"
Oh dear. "Like what Osaka?"
"Did you ever wonder why drive up ATM's have braille lettering?"
"Well, not really. But that would be pretty dangerous….." Almost as dangerous as if Osaka were driving, and she's almost old enough! Well, the roads are safe for a while longer I suppose. Well that actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I thought she was going to ask something REALLY strange, like….
"Did you ever wonder why in the manga, I have a northern accent, but in the anime, I have a southern accent?"
"Erm…what?"
"Nevermind"
