A/N. So I, just like a lot of other Caskett-eres have (hopefully) wondered who was next to find out that Castle and Beckett were engaged (assuming she says yes, which knowing the writers will have her say it at the Season 6 finale). So I decided to prompt myself.

Who was next to find out that Caskett was going to have a wedding down the line?

This is for my friend who doesn't have a fanfiction account, but has gratefully put up with my rants in Spanish class on Wednesday mornings after watching Castle on how stupid the writers can be. So this is for you!

Ryan just got off the plane from visiting his sister in Ohio. It was a long flight back to New York and he was exhausted. Not that he didn't like his sister but damn, that mother really could have tried to calm her toddler down.

He saw Castle and Beckett at the airport waiting for him. He tried to wonder why they were there. He told them, didn't he?

He took his carry on and grabbed his small duffel bag from the baggage claim, and started to slowly walk over to where his boss and her partner were. He could see that they both had a sly grin on their faces and immediately got kinda worried. Could Mom and Dad finally gotten together? Like as in moving in or something? He thought. Nah, Javi would've told me. Or would he?

He had no idea.

The minute Ryan walked over to Castle and Beckett, one eyebrow raised, Castle asked, "How was your flight?"

"Um… uh...," Ryan seemed to try to gasp at the words, so he settled on, "Um… fine. Why are you even asking?"

"You sure? Because if you told me you were going down to Ohio, I would have upgraded you to first class. Because that's who—"Ryan interrupted him.

"Castle, what's with the interrogation? Ok, you've always been one for information and my flight was fine," Ryan said.

"Ryan calm down. He's—"

"Being Castle," Suddenly Ryan wondered why Castle and Beckett were there in the first place. "Why are you guys here anyway? Isn't there some case that needs solving?"

"Not yet there is," Beckett mumbled. Ryan looked at her, and then saw the same glow that his sister had when he visited her that week, that engagement glow. He couldn't believe it. Beckett saw the confusion lift off of her junior detectives face.

"Oh hell no," Ryan started, "No. No way that you two- Castle!" He saw his 'dad' run out of the airport, looking scared.

"Does he know I'm not gonna kill him?" Ryan asked.

"God no. I'll let him dwell for a little bit."

"Congrats. Yay two weddings' I now know."
"Huh?"
"My sister got engaged over the week," Ryan responded. "He hurts you, I wanna know, got it?" Ryan said, in his best big brother tone. Beckett laughed.
